Laser Tattoo Removal in Barrie
Laser tattoo removal in Barrie uses a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser to break tattoo ink into tiny particles that your body clears away over the following weeks. Most tattoos need several sessions to fade or lighten enough for a cover-up. Individual results vary.

A Q-switched laser fires extremely short, powerful pulses of light. The ink absorbs this energy and shatters into very small fragments, and your immune system gradually removes them. That is why fading continues for weeks after each session.
Our Nd:YAG laser has two wavelengths: 1064 nm, which works well on black and dark blue ink, and 532 nm, which helps with red and orange. Green, light blue and yellow inks are harder to remove, and some cosmetic tattoos (white or skin-coloured ink) can darken, so we always test first.
Who it's for
Laser Tattoo Removal at our Barrie clinic is often a good fit for:
- Unwanted tattoos you would like removed or faded
- Fading a tattoo before a cover-up
- Black and dark-blue ink, which respond best
- Amateur or older tattoos, which often fade faster
It is not right for everyone. Pregnancy, certain medications, active skin infections and some medical conditions can mean we recommend waiting or choosing a different option. We review your health history at your consultation and will always tell you honestly if we think another treatment, or no treatment, is the better choice.
What to expect
We start with a consultation and, where needed, a small test spot. You wear eye protection. The laser feels like quick snaps of a rubber band; numbing or cooling helps. Small tattoos take only a few minutes.
We take time with your care. Our founder, Manochehr Samya Kalantari, RN, has more than 30 years in health care. He explains each step, answers your questions and talks through aftercare before you leave.
Results & downtime
Ink fades gradually after each session. Some tattoos clear almost completely, others lighten enough for a cover-up. Colour, depth, age and location all affect results. Individual results vary.
Downtime: Expect redness, swelling and sometimes pinpoint bleeding or blisters for a few days. Keep the area clean, covered and out of the sun while it heals.
How many sessions?
Often six to ten or more sessions, spaced six to eight weeks apart to let your skin heal and your body clear the ink. Your exact plan depends on your goals and how your skin responds, and we will adjust it as we go rather than sell you a package you do not need.

FAQ
Laser Tattoo Removal questions
How much does laser tattoo removal cost in Barrie?
It depends on the size, colours and number of sessions. Pricing is confirmed at your free consultation.
How many sessions does tattoo removal take?
Most tattoos need six to ten or more sessions. We give you an honest estimate after seeing your tattoo.
Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
It stings, a bit like a rubber band snapping on the skin. Numbing cream and cooling make it more comfortable.
Can every tattoo colour be removed?
Black and dark blue respond best. Red and orange respond to our 532 nm setting. Green, light blue and yellow are harder and may only fade.
Will laser tattoo removal leave a scar?
The risk is low when aftercare is followed, but changes in skin colour or texture can happen, especially on darker skin. We explain all risks at your consultation.
